- I am thinking of offering some short courses over the net -- I'd use
- telephone conferencing to add audio. There would be a fixed meeting time
- but no fixed meeting place.
-
- These courses would provide the quality of a good, but short, college
- course at the level which is used for both seniors and graduate students.
-
- At present I am considering two courses:
-
- From C++ to Object Orientation
- (You'd need to know some C++ and have a C++ compiler to take
- advantage of this one.)
-
- An Intro To Tcl/Tk
- (Tcl is a scripting language like Perl but much cleaner and
- extensible. Tk is an extension for writing scripts with
- a window-oriented user interface. You'd need access to Unix
- and X windows to take advantage of this one. Tcl/Tk is
- usually not hard to install.)
-
- For more information drop me a line or look at my web site.
-
- If you might want to take one of these courses please send me note
- telling me about it. You wouldn't be making a commitment -- you'd be
- helping me to decide if I want to make a commitment.
-
- Thanks.
-
- By the way. I have experience teaching programmers from some major
- corporations and I have had some training in distance education.
